Mâcon-Pouilly Solutré 2023, Domaine de la Chapelle

This beautiful Mâcon comes from the limestone slopes of the Solutré Hill. The old vines face fully south and benefit from the sun and one of the best terroirs in the region. This wine has not undergone aging in oak barrels, so the fruit remains in the foreground. The Chardonnay has a medium yellow color, a brilliant shine and tears in the glass, with an exotic scent of mango, ripe pear, almond and passion fruit. It is a full, creamy wine with pleasant acidity. The level is comparable to a Pouilly Fuissé, but more attractively priced!
