I travel for you through the most beautiful wine regions and select my most special finds in this shop. Here you will only find wines that spoil your taste buds, carefully selected from the makers themselves. As your importer, I focus on small, artisanal wineries where passion and craftsmanship are central. No mass production or flashy marketing, but authentic wines with character and a unique story. (Just grape juice, no fermentation yet, don't worry 😃) I am Christopher Engel (40) and the proud owner of Burgundy Or Nowhere (International) and therefore also Bourgognewijn.shop (NL). After seven wonderful years at Wijnkoperij Wesseling in Laren (now the Larense Wijnkoperij), I decided to move to Burgundy with my family. There we started a Bed and Breakfast, Maison Mazille, where we have enjoyed receiving guests. Finally, our journey brought us back to green Drenthe, where we now have our new home base and future Bed and Breakfast, Wisperhof. (Open mid-spring 2025) From here I share our carefully selected Burgundy wines with you. I hope they find a place in your wine climate cabinet or shine directly on your table. Every season I discover a new domain that has something special in it. My preference goes out to small, often lesser-known winegrowers who make wines with soul and without pretension. We leave big names and expensive chateaus to others; I choose Burgundies with pure quality, honestly priced and sustainably produced. Our range focuses on immediately drinkable, affordable Burgundies from small-scale, passionate makers. Here you will not find average wines, but unique gems that make every glass an experience.
