Viré-Clessé 2022, Domaine de Naisse

Domaine de Naisse Viré-Clessé is an impressive wine. Viré-Clessé, located in the heart of the Mâconnais in southern Burgundy, is known as one of the most beautiful terroirs. Thanks to the sunny location and the claystone and limestone soil, this wine is exceptionally rich. Made from 100% Chardonnay, the wine has a radiant golden color. The wine is aged 50% in stainless steel barrels and 50% in oak barrels. Enjoy fresh aromas such as citrus fruits, peach and pear. These notes are also reflected in the taste, with a surprise hint of salt in the fruity aftertaste. The minerals together with the rich fruit form a perfect harmony. This wine is lively, fresh, fruity and full of flavor. Delicious in combination with a well-fried piece of fish or white meat

With drinks, but also with tasty summer salads, hummus, roasted aubergines, BBQ, fried oysters, rich fish. In short, widely applicable!

Domaine de Naisse is located in a beautiful spot in the south of Burgundy. The winery is located in the town of Laizé, the southernmost point of the Mâconnais. The winery was founded in 1980 by Guy Beranger. In 1999, Christophe Brenot joined Guy. Et voila, Brenot-Beranger and with it Domaine de Naisse was born. Our first contact with this domaine was at our local Tabac-Epicerie in Mazille where their wines were sold. Since then, this has been a permanent fixture for our Friday afternoon drinks accompanied by homemade hummus that complement each other perfectly.
