Since 2008, Ponsot has used so-called bubble-tags in the capsule, similar to security seals on banknotes. This unique coding is reinforced with laser strips on the label to prevent re-labelling.
RFI and NFC chips in capsules
Premier Cru and Grand Cru bottles have an integrated NFC chip, developed with technology partners. These chips are tamper-proof — if opened or removed, the chip is disabled and each scan logs a unique verification ID in the cloud.
Smart crates – temperature monitoring per case
The shipping crates are equipped with sensors that record the temperature every three hours. This safeguards the cold chain from the estate to the consumer and allows full temperature history to be checked via smartphone.
Thermal indicator
A thermal indicator on the label changes colour if the bottle is stored above approximately 28°C. This provides a clear visual check upon delivery or storage.
