Rich Burgundy from old vines 🍑✨
This Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes 2021 from Domaine de la Chapelle is exactly what you’d expect from a top wine from the southern Burgundy: full-bodied, layered and refined. Made from 100% Chardonnay with an average vine age of 55 years, carefully matured in oak barrels.
The result is a light golden-yellow wine with a lush, silky texture and an intense aromatic profile: typically Burgundian with notes of roasted hazelnuts, candied pineapple, vanilla and a subtle touch of oak. On the palate, it is creamy and complex, with flavours of apricot, peach and butterscotch, perfectly balanced by refreshing citrus, delicate tannins and elegant acidity.
A Burgundy that combines power with finesse — the oak is present but never overpowering, allowing the fruit and terroir to take centre stage.

Under the guidance of the charismatic Pascal Rollet — easily recognised by his cowboy hat 🤠 — Domaine de la Chapelle is a fixture on the wine lists of the best bistros in southern Burgundy. The estate covers 7.65 hectares in Pouilly and produces cuvées with clear terroir identity. Their AX-B is already iconic, and with this Vieilles Vignes, they once again prove their craftsmanship and terroir focus.
