For many, La Grange de Noue Méa is a fantastic discovery in the southern Côteaux du Layon (Anjou, Loire). Marie Percevault and Hervé Bossé farm their 6 hectares with a deep respect for nature and biodiversity. Think minimal tillage, natural grass between the vines, and the replanting of hedges and trees in the vineyards. The result is a unique, light, and fresh red natural wine that stands out for its purity—by no means loud, but rather an exceptionally gentle and refined Cabernet Franc.
In the glass, you discover a vibrant, fresh red wine with seductive aromas of ripe forest berries, juicy raspberries, violets, and a subtle earthy nuance. Following an organic maceration of 10 to 15 days and spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, the wine ages in fibreglass tanks to preserve the pure fruit character. It is then bottled without added sulphur and unfiltered. The result is a spicy, supple natural wine with a soft structure and a subtle hint of white pepper on the finish.
