Domaine Houblin

Just a 2-hour drive from Paris you will find Domaine Houblin-Vernin in Coulange la Vineuse in the Yonne south of Auxerre. Jean-Luc Houblin started his wine journey with just one and a half hectares of vines in Migé. Now, more than twenty-five years later, the vineyard area in Migé has been expanded by more than 2000%. From the beginning in 1988 with minimal vines, Migé now has 35 hectares. In 2022, the young Valentin Vernin took over from Jean-Luc Houblin, who has just retired. This gave the domain its current name Domaine Houblin-Vernin. Since 2019, it has also been in possession of the HVE certification. In addition, Valentin has received the Young Talents Trophy for the best talent under the age of 40 who has been working in Burgundy for their department for less than 5 years. This is exactly the talent we are looking for. Giftedness without having too high a hat. Their Burgundies have both a mineral and rich character and can therefore seduce even the most spoiled Burgundy lover.
