Discover the Mâconnais wine region
Sensational white Burgundy wines are now coming from the Mâconnais. Here, they currently offer great tension at very competitive prices compared to the northern part of Burgundy. Know that with us, you can expect the most "Terroir per Euro" in your glass! The Mâconnais is located to the west and northwest of the city of Mâcon, along the banks of the Saône River. The region spans an area of about 50 kilometers long and 15 kilometers wide. The landscape is characterized by parallel ridges that stretch from north to south. To the south, the Mâconnais borders the Beaujolais wine region. While the famous Côte d'Or has only one slope, the Mâconnais has many different mineral soils and exposures. This varied nature makes the Mâconnais, with its wide range of aspects, not only a source of very different and complex wine styles but also a haven, should the climate continue to warm.
