A fresh breeze through Burgundy: Aurore Bachelet — remember the name. Daughter of the renowned Vincent Bachelet from Chassagne, she proves with her first independent vintages that she masters finesse to perfection. Her Bourgogne Blanc 2022 is an ode to authentic Côte de Beaune style: pure, elegant and delicately layered, but with a youthful twist and a feminine signature. 🍋✨
As soon as you open the bottle, you’re greeted by bright aromas of fresh lemon, lime blossom and crisp green apple. With a swirl, a subtle smoky note of flint (silex) emerges — a hallmark of the limestone-rich soils around Santenay.
On the palate, the wine shows a lively, clean attack: salty minerality, wet stone and a crisp, linear tension that keeps it vibrant and refreshing. As it warms in the glass, it reveals layers of creamy vanilla custard, marzipan and toasted hazelnut, with a charming hint of honey drop and a delicate brioche nuance in the long, elegant finish.
A white Bourgogne that already feels complex in its youth — like a mini Chassagne, but with a playful and feminine finesse.
🌱 Origin: Santenay area — limestone-clay soils with southeast-facing slopes for optimal ripening.
🍇 100% Chardonnay — 35-year-old vines add depth and concentration.
🪵 Traditional ageing: 12 months in French oak barrels (partly new), followed by 5 months in stainless steel to preserve freshness.
✨ Low-intervention winemaking — the Burgundian identity shines through.
👩🌾 Micro-vigneronne: just 2 hectares, fully hand-tended and highly exclusive.
Perfect with:
✅ Gougères (cheese puffs) — a true Burgundian aperitif!
✅ Gratinated oysters or razor clams 🦪
✅ Pan-fried sole, turbot or pike-perch with beurre blanc 🐟
✅ Light dishes with veal or poultry in a creamy sauce
✅ Soft cheeses like young Comté or Chaource 🧀
✅ Simply solo in a Burgundy glass, lightly chilled (10–12°C) — pure enjoyment!
A young winemaker with an old soul — and you can taste it. Aurore Bachelet crafts every bottle by hand, in tiny volumes, letting her terroir speak with zero fuss. Her Bourgogne Blanc 2022 is a textbook example of pure Côte de Beaune pleasure: smoky, crisp, gently round and mineral.
It charms right now but will gain even more layers with a year or two in the cellar. Be smart: buy now — and enjoy twice as much later.
Aurore grew up among the vines of Chassagne and Saint-Aubin, helping her father Vincent Bachelet from a young age in the cellar. After studying business and interning abroad, she returned to her Burgundian roots to train in winemaking and oenology. She worked alongside her father for five years while quietly developing her own parcels in Santenay, Maranges, Clos Roussots (Premier Cru!) and more. Her style? Authentic, elegant and honest — pure Burgundy without makeup. Only a handful of bottles are produced each year — as exclusive as it gets.
