Once covered with large hornbeam trees (charme), this slope now produces Pinot Noir of extraordinary delicacy. At 285 metres, with a 20% incline and perfect southern exposure, the old vines planted in 1982 find ideal conditions for wines of depth, finesse and rare complexity.
The soil consists of clay-limestone rich in iron oxide, resting on Ladoix limestone – the key to the wine’s colour intensity, mineral precision and natural tension.
