A lighter, more transparent expression of Brunello, sourced from some of the highest vineyards in Montalcino. In the glass, the 2019 Rosso di Montalcino shows a bright, ruby red colour. Le Ragnaie is a historic estate with 28 hectares of vineyards in the southwest of Tuscany. Owners Riccardo Campinoti and his wife Jennifer named it Ragnaie – an Etruscan word for the net once used to catch birds – as a tribute to the region’s history and traditions. Their vineyards sit at some of the highest points of the Rosso di Montalcino DOC, reaching up to 600 metres altitude, producing wines with stunning freshness and ageing potential.
