Every now and then, a domain emerges from the Mâconnais that surprises with its distinct personality. Located in Péronne, just beyond Viré and Clessé, Noémie and Clément Blondeau of Domaine du Grison craft a Chardonnay with a remarkably floral character. Reminiscent of the expressive wines from nearby Azé or Verzé, it offers easy drinkability backed by authentic Burgundian precision.

This is one of the most aromatic and floral expressions from the area. While the nose hints at the expressive aromatics often found in Rhône whites, the palate remains crisp and mineral-driven due to aging in stainless steel. The wine features a smooth, creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity and a subtle hint of ripe fruit on the finish.

About Domaine du Grison Domaine du Grison is a small family estate based in Blanot, near Cluny. For three generations, the Blondeau family has farmed roughly 10 hectares of vines spread across Blanot and Péronne. The estate operates with deep roots in the local landscape, nestled in a historic valley at the foot of Mont Saint-Romain.
