Visually it has a beautiful yellow color with fine, clear bubbles. The nose is intense and fruity. The freshness is reflected in citrus aromas. In the mouth it is very smooth and balanced. It reveals notes of honey and candied fruit in this Champagne from Pierre Malingre.
Champagne Pierre MALINGRE is located in the small village of Prouilly, in the heart of the Massif de St Thierry. Their vineyard covers 9 hectares, spread over approximately 30 plots in the villages of Prouilly, Trigny, Gueux and Janvry. The oldest vines date from 1973.
They grow the three Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Meunier and Pinot Noir. The vines are grown with respect for traditions, the terroir and the environment. They also produce a special Ratafia that has received attention from, among others, Jan Versteegh and Rámon Verkoeijen in their podcast "The Best Taste of the Netherlands".
In 2023 they received certification for sustainable viticulture in Champagne. They recognize the need to protect their vineyard and heritage and have not used insecticides for over 20 years. As a result, they succeed in creating very pure Champagnes that beautifully express the terroir.
